I'm interested in buying my 1st downhill mountain bike, can anyone give me some suggestions?

Looking to pay around �1000 and want lightweight. I've only ever had a normal mtb is downhill the same as full sus? I want to start to try and do small jumps and little tricks in the garden and progress, my friends are going to morzine this summer downhilling. Can a downhill mtb do jumps n tricks as well or is a different bike needed? Would like a bike to do both tbh.
