Trials bike riding help?

Ive been thinking about getting into trials, is it alright to have a full on trials bike accept with 150mm travel forks and 26 inch rims? would the mtb forks fit into the trials bike frame? i know i know "why are you doing that you would be better of on a normal trials bike" but the track I ride has rocky downhill sections that you can sorta ride on so.
