What bike would you choose for a month trip?

I'm planning a month long bike trip from the south west coast of Mexico to South, until my time spends (Los Mochis Sinaloa Mex- ?????). Which bike would you choose, I have only made weekend trips in my MTB, but I don't think is appropiate for such a long trip. Any suggestions????
